This Order extends sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Internationally Protected Persons Act 1978, subject to exceptions, adaptations and modifications, to the territories specified in Schedule 2 hereto. The purpose of the Act is to give effect to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crimes against Internationally Protected Persons, including Diplomatic Agents, signed at New York on 14th December 1973.
