This Order authorises Transport for London to construct, operate and maintain the Silvertown Tunnel. This is a new road tunnel linking the areas north and south of the river Thames in London between the Greenwich Peninsula and Silvertown. The Order would permit Transport for London to acquire, compulsorily or by agreement, land and rights in land and to use land for this purpose. The Order also includes provisions in relation to the operation of the existing Blackwall Tunnel and the new Silvertown Tunnel, including for the implementation of user charging at both tunnels. A copy of all documents mentioned in this Order and certified in accordance with article 65 (certification of documents) of this Order may be inspected free of charge during working hours at Transport for London, Windsor House, 42 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0TL.
