This Order, which is made under section 3(1)(b) of the Transport and Works Act 1992, empowers the Environment Agency to construct a tidal barrier with a moveable gate across the river Orwell and to execute ancillary works, including dredging of the river. The Order confers the necessary powers on the Agency, including powers to acquire the requisite land and rights by agreement or compulsorily. A copy of the works plans, the land plans, the sections and the book of reference referred to in this Order may be inspected at the offices of the Environment Agency, Kingfisher House, Goldhay Way, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire PE2 5ZR.
