Explanatory note

This Order authorises Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council to construct and operate various railways and other works on land adjacent to the Knowsley Industrial Park in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley and on the Liverpool Bolton and Bury Line railway of Railtrack PLC running to the north-west of that land and, for that purpose, compulsorily or by agreement to acquire land and rights in land. A copy of the deposited plans, and the deposited sections prescribed by rule 7(1)(a), 7(2) and 7(3) of the Transport and Works (Applications and Objections Procedure) Rules 1992 and a copy of the public open space and exchange land plans, certified in accordance with article 29 of this Order, may be inspected at the Council’s offices, Municipal Buildings, Archway Road, Huyton, Knowsley, Merseyside L36 9YU.
