This Order, which is made under section 5 of the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967, prohibits fishing for salmon or migratory trout in waters comprising almost all that part of the fishery limits of England and Wales which lies between 6 and 12 miles from the base lines from which the breadth of the territorial sea is measured. The prohibition extends from 15th February 1973 to 14th February 1983. By virtue of section 5(8) of the Act the prohibition applies to all fishing boats including foreign vessels.
