These Regulations make provision about registration of care services by the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care (“the Commission”). In particular they require the Commission to maintain a separate register for each of the types of care service which are covered by the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 (regulation 2). The information which is to be recorded in the registers in respect of each individual care service is set out in the Schedule. Regulation 3 sets out the information which is to be specified in a certificate of registration of a care service. Regulation 4 specifies categories of persons who may not make an application for registration of a care service under Part 1 of the Act. Regulation 5 requires the Commission to make its registers available for inspection at its offices and on the internet, and to provide copies. It also provides that a fee of £30 will be payable for copies provided in the circumstances which are specified in regulation 5(2).
