These Regulations revoke and replace the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No.2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020, with savings. They require the closure of certain businesses, services and premises listed in the Schedule, to protect against the risks to public health arising from coronavirus, except for limited permitted uses. They impose restrictions on gatherings, both indoor and outdoor, unless for certain purposes and the organiser or operator of a gathering may be required to undertake a risk assessment and comply with relevant guidance. They also impose restrictions on gatherings in private dwellings, subject to exceptions. The need for the restrictions must be reviewed by the Department of Health, with the first review taking place by 15 April 2021. No regulatory impact assessment has been prepared for these Regulations.
