These Regulations, which come into operation on 1st July 2008, revoke and remake with amendments the Reporting of Prices of Milk Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 (S.R.2005 No. 286). The Regulations implement Article 6 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 562/2005 (OJ No L95, 14.4.05, p. 11) laying down rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 1255/1999 as regards communications between the Member States and the Commission in the milk and milk products sector, as amended from time to time. Regulation 3 requires milk processors to provide the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with such information relating to the prices of certain milk products as the Department may require by notice. Regulation 4 sets out offences.

What Parliament said about it

Hansard was searched for this instrument by name and returned nothing. That is the ordinary outcome: an instrument laid under the negative procedure is usually never debated, and becomes law without a word said about it in either House.

How Parliament handled it

Parliament's Statutory Instruments service records procedure from May 2017 onwards, and this instrument predates it. That is a limit of the source, not a statement that nothing happened.
