This Order amends the Street Works (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 to provide the Department for Regional Development with additional powers for the management and control of street works. The Order also increases the level of fines for certain offences and provides for the issue of fixed penalty notices in respect of certain offences. It also provides for the introduction of a permit scheme to control specified street works.

How Parliament handled it

Parliament's Statutory Instruments service records procedure from May 2017 onwards, and this instrument predates it. That is a limit of the source, not a statement that nothing happened.
