This Order re-enacts, with amendments, the Cinematograph Acts (Northern Ireland) 1909 and 1959, relating to the licensing of premises for film exhibitions. The principal amendments are the extension of the definition of film exhibition, the exclusion of exhibitions promoted for private gain from certain exemptions, a revision of the procedure for application for licences, the regulation of exhibitions on Sundays, the extension of the powers of entry and seizure and the increase in penalties for offences.

How Parliament handled it

Parliament's Statutory Instruments service records procedure from May 2017 onwards, and this instrument predates it. That is a limit of the source, not a statement that nothing happened.
